Akiko Hitomi
Akiko Hitomi studied German literature and taught at Oregon State University before studying screenwriting at the renowned American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles. Later on she study screenwriting at the Münchner Drehbuchwerkstatt on a stipend. She has since written EHESPIELE for Hofmann & Voges Entertainment, DIE BEGEGNUNG for Maran Film as well as two screenplays for SAT.1: CONFESSIONS and EIN VATER SIEHT ROT. She also wrote Christiane Balthasar's MEIN LEBEN GEHÖRT MIR and Anno Saul's DIE NOVIZIN. Furthermore, Akiko Hitomi co-authored the Japanese version of Paul Schrader's film MISHIMA and has recently received writing money from the FFA, the association of German exhibitors, to write her screenplay DIE WERKSTATT DER SCHMETTERLINGE.
